Obituary of Arthur J Cox
Arthur J. Cox 92, of Ship Bottom, NJ passed away at home on Monday March 11, 2019. He was born and lived in West Creek, NJ before moving to Ship Bottom in 1967. Arthur was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a lifelong contractor and owner of Cox & Cox and Bayview Marina as well as owning Cox Gravel Pit. He was a member of the Mariners Masonic Lodge #150 as well as being a philanthropist that donated to many charitable organizations. He also enjoyed gardening and photography.
He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Anna Linda Cox, sister Estella Cox Shinn and nephews Ronald Maxwell and Raymond Cox. He is survived by his brother Charles Cox of Florida, sisters Janet Maxwell of Parkertown and Elizabeth Lynch of Absecon, nephews Leonard Chuck Wilson, Scott Wilson and Kenny Wilson, nieces Linda Wilson, June Parks, Susan Allen, Beth Horan and Joanne Maxwell and many great nieces and nephews.
Viewing hours will be held on Thursday March 14, 2019 from 6 to 8pm and Friday March 15 from 10am until the Funeral Service at 11am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow at West Creek Cemetery.
