I will miss you Arthur, especially on Fridays when we had our morning chats. The meal was secondary once I discovered your love of local history. You spoke of your family’s life in West Creek, Tuckerton, Long Beach Island and the (now under the sea) Tucker’s Island. Your memory was phenomenal and I enjoyed listening to your stories. You even found photos and a family tree for me. I was hooked and wrote a children’s novel about your mother and aunt’s sojourn on Tucker’s Island. Without your help,I would never have started to write. I hope to publish it and dedicate it to you. You were a very kind and understanding man. I loved talking to you about old times,gardening and sometimes current politics. You were a very special person and will be missed by all who knew you. God Bess you and your family. Love, Kay. My dearest uncle Arthur. I have nothing but fond memories of you. I remember all the time we spent together when I was little. You never once raised your voice to me, even though I was a brat who talked too much. You taught me so much about caring for others, you were a wonderful example to follow. A truly lovely soul who will be missed forever.
