Obituary of Leslie H Gummay

Leslie H. Gummay, 88 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday December 24th, 2018. Born in Aston in Birmingham County, England, he spent time living in Bergen County, NJ and Port Republic for 20 years before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ 22 years ago. Leslie was a Medic in the British Army and later retired as the Director of Catering for the Sheraton Hotel in New York City. He was a member of the Tuckerton Masonic Lodge #4 and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, camping and being outdoors.

Leslie was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Gummey and his sisters Lillian, Ivy, Beryl and Rose.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Jill Gummay, son Stephen Gummay of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, daughter Stacey Homolovich and husband Thomas of Tuckerton, NJ, grandchildren Samantha Johnson and husband Ronald and Matthew Homolovich and wife Jillian, great-grandchildren Timothy Johnson and one on the way and good friends Donald and Paul.

Visitation will be held on Sunday December 30th, 2018 from 2pm until his Masonic Service at 4pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
