Obituary of John H Tietjen Sr.

John H Tietjen Sr., 87 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at Seacrest Village Nursing Home on Friday November 16, 2018. Born in Englewood, NJ John spent time living in Cresskill, NJ until moving to Little Egg Harbor 16 years ago. John retired as a Carpenter for Local 15 in Hackensack, NJ and he loved shopping, couponing, word searches and spending time with his family.

John was predeceased by his parents Fred and Katherine Tietjen, brothers Herbert Bernard Tietjen, Fred Tietjen and Eugene Tietjen and sister Florence Godwin.

He is survived by his loving wife Betty Ann whom he married in 1955, children John H Tietjen Jr. and wife Jessica of Closter, NJ, Katherine Ann Kirschmer of Thorton, CO, Elizabeth Plaza and husband Stanley of Little Egg Harbor and Jennifer Wunder and husband Anthony of Hampton, NJ, grandchildren Fredrick, Amber, John, Tony Jr., Victoria, Jesse, Dylan and Danielle, step-grandson Justin and great-grandchildren Logan and Beth.

Visitation will be held on Monday November 19, 2018 from 2-5pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Cremation will be private.
