Obituary of Helen M Recigno
Helen Recigno, 103 passed away on Thursday October 18, 2018. Helen was a resident of South Philadelphia and a parishioner of St. Edmond's Parish. Here she was active in doing good works for the school, making aprons for the nuns and involving her children to do so as well. She and her husband also enjoyed summers in Brigantine N.J. At age 96, Helen left her beloved South Philadelphia and moved to Countryside Meadows, an Independent Residence in Galloway N.J. Here she met many friends and enjoyed going shopping and to many dinners at restaurants in the area with her children. After celebrating her 101 birthday she moved to Linwood N.J. in a nursing home and spent her time doing activities with many friends that she loved. Offers of her Son and daughter were refused because she loved seeing the people who always said "hello" as she smiled to all.
Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband Jerry, daughter Elaine Powell, great-granddaughter baby Gianna Rose Recigno and 17 brothers and sisters.
She will be missed by the residents, Nurses and all who knew her as always smiling and never ever complaining. She also will be missed by her children Peter Recigno, Gerry Recigno and wife Gloria, Joseph Recigno, Rae Dambrosio and husband Camillo and Tina Marie Capone, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
