Obituary of Christopher Balis

Christopher L. Balis, 73 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home on Thursday August 23, 2018.  Born in Elizabeth, NJ he lived in Bayonne, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor 16 years ago.  Chris served his country honorably in the US Army and was a member of American Legion Post #493.  He worked for Iron Workers Local #480 in Union, NJ prior to his retirement.  He enjoyed fishing and playing poker every Friday night with his friends. 

He was predeceased by his wife Patricia Balis in 2007.

He is survived by his daughters Deborah Murray and husband Michael, Michelle Gibbons and husband Shawn and Christie Balis-Groce and husband Jason, sons Robert Balis and Jesse Balis and wife Heidi, many grandchildren and loving partner Anne.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday August 29, 2018 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and Thursday August 30, 2018 from 10am to 11am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.  Interment will also be on Thursday at 12noon at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin, NJ.
