Obituary of Brantley E Whittaker III

Brantley E. Whittaker III, 60 of Bass River Twp., NJ passed away at home on Thursday August 9, 2018.  Born in East Stroudsburg, PA, he lived in Bushkill, PA before moving to New Gretna over 20 years ago.  Brant enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and spending time on the water.  He worked as First Mate and then Captain of the Miss LBI for 8 years and was the current Captain of the Miss Beach Haven for the past 12 years.  He was an all-around good guy and everyone that met him loved him. 

He was predeceased by his parents Brantley and Violet Whittaker and sister Lynn Valenti.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years Michelle Whittaker, son Brantley E. Whittaker IV and wife April of Virginia, “daughter” and 1st mate Kelsey Galletta, brothers Dale and Stanley Whittaker both of Bushkill, PA, sisters Judy Smith of East Stroudsburg, PA and Emma Smith of Tannersville, PA as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services are private and under the care of Maxwell Funeral Home, Little Egg Harbor.
