Obituary of Helen Zielski

Helen Zielski, 88 of Bass River Twp., Nj passed away at home on Sunday July 15, 2018.  Born in Poland, Helen lived in Brooklyn, NY and Irvington, NJ before moving to Bass River in 1985.  Helen was a communicant of St. Theresa’s R.C. Church in Little Egg Harbor and was a member of the Rosary Society.   She enjoyed sewing, collecting religious statues and angels and she loved animals.

Helen, along with her sisters and mother, were survivors of a concentration camp in Poland and the Soviet Union.  It was the strength of Helen’s mother Maria Widuch that got them though and kept them all alive during such an awful time.

She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Maria Widuch and son Richard Zielski.

She is survived by her loving son Christopher Zielski, sister Barbara Bobowik, brother Teddy Widuch, daughter-in-law Anna Zielski and grandchildren Daniel and Sarah.

Viewing will be on Thursday July 19, 2018 from 7 to 9pm and Friday July 20 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.  A Funeral Mass will also be on Friday at 11:00am at St. Theresa’s Church, Little Egg Harbor followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton, NJ.
