Obituary of Joel Simonsen
Joel Simonsen, 71 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at Seacrest Nursing home on Saturday June 2, 2018. Born in Elizabeth, NJ Joel grew up in Point Pleasant where he was a Colonel (Professional Auctioneer) and co-owner of Carl’s Auction until moving in 1989 to Little Egg Harbor. He also worked as a Host of the Bengal Club at Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City and a Furniture Salesman at Value City Furniture in Manahawkin. He was a Freemason and enjoyed buying/selling antiques at flea markets, rock music, and spending time with the love of his life, Ruth Brockerman of Little Egg Harbor.
Joel was predeceased by his parents Carl Simonsen and Katherine Ely, and brother Carl Jr.
He is survived by his loving son Brett Simonsen, and grandson Ethan Simonsen of Williamstown, NJ.
Cremation will be private.
