Obituary of Mikeylah Infinity-Louise Shabazz

Mikeylah Infinity-Louise Shabazz aged 18, of New Gretna, NJ, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, January 20th, 2018. Born in Trenton, NJ, Mikeylah was a lifetime resident of New Gretna.

Mikeylah was an active, lifelong member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Youth Group. A senior at Pinelands Regional High School, Mikeylah had planned to go to college and study Psychology. Mikeylah loved the beach, swimming, dancing, and taking Selfies! She was a nature and animal lover, especially her cat, Julia, and turtle, Dudley. Mikeylah was an avid fan of the TV shows Wentworth and Family Guy.

Friends and family remember Mikeylah for her generosity, empathy for others, and her passion for life. She loved and cherished her many friends and relatives.

She is predeceased by her great-grandmother Louise Longinetti.

Left to mourn are her loving parents, Amy McDowell and Halim Shabazz, devoted grandparents Claire and Tom McDowell, a brother Halim, sisters Halannah, Shideisha and Amira and her many aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday January 26th, 2018, from 6-9pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Visitation will continue at St Paul United Methodist Church on Route 9 in New Gretna, NJ 08224 on Saturday January 27th, 2018 from 11am until her Funeral Service at 12pm. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery.
