Obituary of Thomas Bass

Thomas Bass, 84 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Thursday May, 25, 2017. Thomas was born in Brooklyn, NY, lived in Cheshire, CT and retired to Little Egg Harbor, NJ 19 years ago. 

Thomas played minor league baseball for 2 years after graduating high school for the NY Giants. He went on to serve our nation in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later obtained his MBA from Farleigh Dickenson University. He enjoyed watching baseball and liked to fish. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 316 in Little Egg Harbor, NJ and was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Parish, also in Little Egg Harbor.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife Kathleen (nee Roche) of 62 years, son Thomas (Jessica) Bass, daughter Christine Bass, a brother Paul (Alice) Bass, his granddaughters Bradey Kate and Lennon, many nieces and nephews and also his beloved Dachshund “Buddy”.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 29, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Tuesday May 30, 2017 from 9:30-10:30am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor NJ  08087.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11am at St. Theresa’s RC Church 450 Radio Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin, NJ.
