Obituary of Elizabeth Garthaus

Elizabeth Garthaus, 56 of New Gretna, NJ passed away at home on Thursday February 23, 2017. Elizabeth was born in Staten Island, NY, graduated from Southern Regional High School and lived in many states before moving back to the Tuckerton area 30 years ago. She was an avid member of the Cedar Run Assembly of God Church and loved going to church as well as spending with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Wilmont Tyler and Joanne Fitzgerald, step-father Al Erber and sister Marie Thorne. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Paul Garthaus, daughters Jennie Hollingsworth and husband William Jr. of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and Crystal Garthaus and fiancé Mark Purks of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, grandsons William Hollingsworth III and Austin Purks, brothers Thomas Tyler and wife Debbie and Ralph Tyler, brother-in-law Gary Thorne, dear friends Alice Cramer and Jackie and Arnie Harder and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday March 3, 2017 from 5pm until her Funeral Service at 7pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
