Thank you Gladys for the many meals you prepared for me with your family, you always had a plate for me and treated me like family! It was fun to always hear your many stories , watching you bake the many breads and cookies ( yes those famous Cry baby cookies!) You and Tal taking us to Micks on Sunday drives after church! Making sure Val took her organ lessons with Mrs Lou after school and always having your door open after School for the many neighborhood kids ! My fav was Valerie and Talberts birthday parties and WHO was older to blow out the candles First! Yes Val , Talbert is 5 minutes older! Lol Thanks for the memories Gladys you will be missed ! I remember you walking to church every Sunday and walking almost everywhere ! Thanks for all the stayovers too! Enjoy your eternal days with jesus !

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Gladys. Losing someone we love can be such a painful experience. I have found comfort through many scriptures when my mother passed away. One that comes to mind is Revelation 21:4..."And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." I do hope this verse helps you to endure during this difficult time. As a bible instructor, my services are available to give encouragement if needed. Again, I am so sorry for your loss of Gladys. Our sympathy goes out to Gladys Rutter Loveland's family.
My mother is Bertie Rutter, Gladys first cousin, that makes me her 1st cousin once removed. The last time I saw Gladys was much before her sister Helen died. I always enjoyed the history they both knew about the family and the homes and the church. We all had dinner together at cousin Barbara Rutter Redmond's home, of which I have pictures. Long before this I spent some time in the West Creek UMC with Helen and Gladys, they were going through a lot of things there and planning to retain them for history purposes. I found an old hymnal the had my mothers name in it from when she purchased it back in the late 1940's and Gladys said I could have it. I was thrilled. I still have it to this day. I am the historian in my family and have done much research on all sides of the family. I did get to meet Valerie while in Beauford, SC as my son was stationed there the same time as Valerie's husband was. That was a great day, as I had not seen Valerie since she was a little girl. I'll never forget my Senior year in HS. She asked me what I wanted for dinner and made me my favorite baked chicken. And how many times did I watch her make those cry baby cookies. I still make them and have wonderful thoughts of her every time and will continue to do so! I send my love to you all.
