Laughter in Heaven
My beautiful Aunt Nancy went home in the arms of Jesus, her precious Savior and Lord . She suffered a great deal in the past several years. Because it was her desire to go be with Him, there is only left the sadness of her not being here. She experienced His presence here, which took away her fear in the face of His love, but nothing as great as she is experiencing the fullness of His love and presence now.
Her illness limited her abilities to even stay in touch with those she loved at times. I've been missing her for awhile because of that. But I knew even though she wasn't able to answer the phone, or return a call, it wasn't because she didn't care. I knew her heart toward me, and I trust she knew mine toward her though there was so much silence.
I've wondered over the years where the term R.I.P. came from? Because when you've experienced suffering for as long and hard as many people, including my dear aunt before they pass on, the last thing they're doing when they get to heaven is resting! Yes, experiencing every drop of glorious PEACE, LOVE AND JOY, but rest? Rest is for the weariness in these bodies, not for our heavenly bodies. We will be more alive than ever, finally loosed from the cumbersomeness of these bodies. We will be over taken with joy seeing loved ones who have passed on before us. Enjoying the happy greetings of those special pets we missed so long after they left us. Experiencing the beauty of all the sights, sounds, and fragrances of heaven will be wonderfully overwhelming. But most of all, to be in the very real Presence of the Trinity Who is LOVE. The need of 'rest' is over! The concern of 'time' and everything else is over! Praise God! I recall her and I talking about this on several occasions before our conversations grew quiet.
The last message I sent to my aunt not long ago was that was my prayer for His Presence to be real for her, and her perfect healing. As well as this favorite scripture of mine during my own 25yrs of illness from 2 Cor.4:
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
He surely answered it all. Today, there is more rejoicing and laughter in heaven with her there. She loved to make people laugh with her quick wit and humor. I miss that, but I won't miss it forever. Someday I'll hear and join in with her joy and laughter again. We all will.
To all our family and the friends of Nancy Parker Wack, I love you and pray comfort and peace to your hearts right now. From The Passion Translation:
I hear His whisper..."I have longed for you" Have I not promised you that nothing will separate you from My love? The heavens will be rolled up like a scroll, the mountains may shake and fall into the sea, but My love for you will never be shaken and will never be moved. I have held you as My treasure and have longed for you, even as you have longed for Me. A fire burns within Me, an all-consuming fire of love that will never go out. The passion I have to make you Mine could never be dimmed or fade away. Each moment I carry you and you will never have to grope in the dark to find Me, for we are One. In your difficult night season I say to you, rest in My love. Never interpret My love by how it appears, but see the depth of My love by the sacrifice of My Son. It was on Calvary that I lifted Him between heaven and earth as a sign to you that My love is endless and will give up what was Most Precious so that I could have you. Nothing shall ever separate you from My love.
Neither pain nor pressure, nor grief, nor disappointment. Nothing is more powerful than My love. I have promised you that I will never leave you comfortless. Is My presence not enough? Every day the glory of My presence overshadows you, even when you do not discern it. When you thirst, I give you Living Water, when you hunger and crave for more, I give you Living Bread and My satisfying peace. When you lift up your face to Me without shame, the sunshine of My love washes you and strengthens you. My invisible ways of love have carried you through life, so never let disappointment live within you. For I am Your God, the Mighty Lover who will never be turned aside by your weak heart. I am stirred to perfect you every time I see your weakness. Your growth is My boast, for the grace I have poured upon you will bring you into greater light and greater glory. Trust in Me and watch Me work as I demonstrate the depths of My love. Philippians 3:20 TPT
"But our passions are set on the heavenly realm as we cling tightly to our Life-Giver, the Lord Jesus Christ."
