Obituary of Philip Roman

Philip Roman, 95 of Little Egg Harbor passed away on Thursday May 12, 2016. He was born in Passaic, NJ and lived in Long Beach Island before moving to Little Egg Harbor. Philip was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, golfing, skiing, and sail boating. He lived his life his own way and enjoyed every minute of it. He was a US Army World War II veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre. Phil’s Alma Mater was Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was their first Charitable Gift Annuity donor and remained active in the F.D.U. Legacy Guild. He is survived by his nephews Theodore Roman and wife Judy of Newton, NJ, Donald Roman of Ogdenburg, NJ, and Rick Dettie, niece Susan Tackach of New Britain, CT, long-time friends Bob and Mary Benedetti, his neighbor who helped him for many years Coleen Bloodgood of Little Egg Harbor, and dear friend Deliah Perez of Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was predeceased by his parents Aloyius and Agnes Roman, sisters Helen Dettie, Jean Tackach, and Josephine Roman, brother Theodore Roman, and nephew William Tackach. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 17, 2016 from 3pm to 6pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
