Obituary of Malachy D Starr

Desmond Starr, 80 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Monday March 28, 2016. Born in Northern Ireland, he emigrated to the United States and shortly thereafter joined the US Army. He lived in Bergen County, NJ for many years with his wife Cora before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1999. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Cora Starr in 2003. His career as a Real Estate Broker spanned many years . He was the the founder of Little Egg Harbor Theatre Co. and enjoyed writing plays, short stories and poetry and loved going to the opera. He is survived by his son Desmond J. Starr and wife Patricia of Texas, daughter Siobon Humphrey and husband Peter of Jackson, NJ, brother Patrick Starrs of Ireland and grandchildren Desmond and Andrea and great grandson Colton. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday April 2, 2016 at 10am at St. Theresa’s Church, Little Egg Harbor followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin. Viewing hours will be on Friday April 1st from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
