Obituary of Norman Samuelsen

Norman E. Samuelsen, 82 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Thursday May 7, 2015 at Southern Ocean Center, Manahawkin. Born in Atlantic Highlands, he lived in Middletown, NJ before retiring to Little Egg Harbor 11 years ago. Norman served in the US Navy during World War II. He worked as a commercial fisherman out of Compton Creek in Belford, NJ, as well as being a self-employed builder. He was a member of the Sons of Norway in Marlboro, NJ and enjoyed woodworking, playing horseshoes and gardening. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Judith Samuelsen, son John Samuelsen and wife Jeanette of Groveland, FL, daughters Sharon Yahara of Manahawkin and Nancy Veeck and husband Alan of Virginia Beach, brother Spencer Samuelsen of PA, sister Christina Stanford of AR, grandchildren Jason Mitchell, Eric Samuelsen, and Ashley and Charlie Yahara and great grandchildren Alexander Mitchell and Jayden Samuelsen. Viewing hours will be held on Sunday May 10, 2015 from 2pm until the funeral service at 4:00pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
