My deepest sympathies are with you and your family during this time of grieving. Bill was always warm and friendly even in the last two years when he was suffering. It's with a heavy heart that I read Bill's obituary. I have known Bill for as long as I can remember, so I am going to say that is about 55 years. In that time, I have to say I saw a lot of smiles on Bill's face. Not because
I made him smile, but because the man ALWAYS smiled. Bill is a good, kind, honest man, who was just NICE, and that's a nice way to be. He's friendly and just one of those people that was liked by all. He was talented, hard working, and had integrity. I am proud that I grew up in the midst of Bill, and that I knew him all these years.

Sorry to see Bill go. He was a part of my youth growing up in Parkertown and someone I looked up to as a good example of how to live a productive life. Bill also had a great sense of humor and was always fun to be around. I remember when I got my Dad's old single-barrel shotgun out when I was about 12 years old. I was afraid to shoot it and Bill suggested we prop it up on a log, tie a string to the trigger and pull one off! It went off with a boom and blew the side of the barrel out! Bill saved me on that one! Just one of the things that Bill was a part of in my life and there are many more.
I am sure his brother and sisters have many more memories of Bill than I do and they will have them to always keep him close to their hearts. Sincere condolences to the Cummings family and so long to Bill.
