Obituary of Marie A. Monticchio

Marie A. Monticchio, 76 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Monday November 24, 2014 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, Marie lived in Newark, NJ, Verona, NJ and South Plainfield before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2002. She was a communicant and choir member of St. Mary of the Pines R.C. Church in Manahawkin; was previously in the choir at Our Lady of Czestchowa in S. Plainfield and sang in the Bishops Choir in Metuchen which sang before the Pope. Marie was past president of the Women’s League in Sunrise Bay, she enjoyed going to Atlantic City, playing cards, dancing and bowling and was a wonderful cook. She was predeceased by her sister Antoinette Fiorentino. She is survived by her beloved husband on 54 years Romeo, sons Richard Monticchio (Sherri) of Middletown, DE and Joseph Monticchio (Cheryl) of Forked River, NJ, daughter Linda Papianni (Christopher) of S. Plainfield, brother Salvatore Fiorentino, sister Geraldine Bozsik and grandchildren Jennifer, David, Michael, Paul, Erika and Nicholas. Viewing hours will be held on Monday December 1, 2014 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and Tuesday from 8:15am to 9:15am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday December 2 at 10:00am at St. Mary of the Pines R.C. Church followed by burial at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
