I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Recently I lost my
dear mother, and found great comfort in the words of
Jesus at John 11:11-14, where he likens death to being
asleep, and at John 5:28,29 – “All those in memorial
tombs will hear his voice and come out.” For more
comfort, I turn to website: http://www.jw.org (Search: comfort)

Firstly I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Vinny’s family. Vinny was the first treasurer and a founding father of the Bergen County Traffic Officers Association. We served together for many years on the Board of Directors. I had the pleasure and honor of knowing him for about 30 years. I learned a lot from him and was lucky enough to have taught Title 39 and traffic stops with him for a number of years at the Bergen County Police Academy a long long time ago. No one had a command of Title 39 like Vinny. Lawyers would call him for interpretation of the law. He was the type of instructor who not only imparted knowledge, but inspired the class. He had fun with his students and possessed a charisma which endeared him to them and made him an unforgettable teacher. He was an active and dedicated traffic officer, but above that, he was a devoted family man, which I think truly defined his character. Unfortunately we lost touch after he retired and moved away from Bergen County. From time to time I would occasionally hear how he was doing from some of the guys from Little Ferry PD. I was saddened to hear of his passing.
