Obituary of James T. Norberg

James T. Norberg Sr., 82 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Sunday March 8, 2015 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin. Jim was born, raised and lived in Staten Island, NY before retiring to Little Egg Harbor in 1988 with his wife Nell. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Navy and worked for the New York Telephone Company in New York City. Jim was a member and Chaplain in the VFW Post #316 and active in the American Legion Post #493. He was a member of the Beacon Light Masonic Lodge #701 and the Sons of Norway Nansen Lodge #410 both in Staten Island. He was also an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the First United Methodist Church of Tuckerton. He was predeceased by his parents Ole and Margaret Norberg, his Beloved wife Jenneth L. “Nell” Norberg (1999) and daughter Kathryn Cannon (1997). He is survived by his sons James T. Norberg Jr. and wife Linda of Staten Island and Jeffrey Norberg and wife Carol of Old Bridge, grandchildren Keith Cannon, Kyle Cannon, James T. Norberg III, Nicole Norberg, Jonathan Norberg and Jessica Norberg, great granddaughter Madeline and girlfriend Virginia Josephson. Viewing hours will be held on Saturday March 14, 2015 from 7 to 9pm, Sunday March 15th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and Monday March 16th from 10am until the Funeral Service at 11:00am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow at Brig Gen. Wm C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. For driving directions or to send condolences please go to www.maxwellfuneralhome.com.
