Vincent Scarano

Obituary of Vincent Scarano

Vincent Scarano, 83 of Manahawkin, NJ passed away at home on Saturday January 24, 2015. He was born and lived in Newark, NJ and Roselle Park, NJ before moving to Manahawkin in 1990. Vinnie owned Vinnie’s Shell in Elizabeth NJ and also worked for Eastern Airlines in Newark before retiring. He spent time and was a friendly face at Bagels and Beyond in Manahawkin, was an avid NY Giants and Yankees fan and enjoyed going to Atlantic City. Vinnie was a man who had a sunny disposition and an infectious smile. He was a great husband, father and pop-pop who was always there for his family and grandchildren. When in doubt of who to call we called “pop pop”. He was adored and loved by us all and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Stephanie, son Mark Scarano and wife Lisa of Westfield, daughters Laura Ellis and husband Paul of Waretown and Valerie DeVito and husband Vince of Watchung, brother Alfred Liland, sister Mary Ann Liland and grandchildren Michael, Sean, Garrett, Dean, Elena and Leigh. Visitation will be held on Saturday January 31, 2015 from 1pm until the Memorial Service at 3:00pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 573 Mill Creek Rd Manahawkin, NJ 08050. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Catholic Charities Diocese of Metuchen at www.ccdom.org.
