Obituary of Joan S Weston
Joan Sidnam Weston, 90 years of age, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. Joan was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, where she resided until 1997. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Marion Martineau. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Edmund “Wink” Weston, in 1989 and son, Roy, in 1992. Also predeceasing Joan were her siblings Mary Patricia Curry, Louise Greacen, Daniel Martineau, and Diane Privette.
Joan was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma. She adored her family and loved spending time together laughing, playing board games and cards, and listening to music. Joan was also an avid reader and enjoyed writing and drawing.
Joan is survived by her children Patrick (Kathy) Weston, Margaret (Kevin) Jacquel, and Melinda (Samuel) Sgroi; grandchildren Sean (Jessi) Weston, Ryan Weston, Rachel (John) Abert, and Mark Sgroi; great-grandchildren Albon Weston, Maddy Weston, and John Thomas and Eleanor Abert; sisters Carol Baldwin and Rebecca Gaudino; sister-in-law Hazel Weston and brother-in-law John Greacen; and many nieces and nephews.
