Jimmy, David, Janet, Mary and John, I am very sad about your loss. Your mom was a beacon in my life. She was so beloved by my mom and, like a distant planet, a loving force in the world. I will be forever grateful to you for enabling ML to be with her sister in her final days. It meant so much to her - and to me - to know that you shared the journey of her passing and your love and kindness. I can't imagine the deep emotions you must all feel losing your amazingly talented and courageous mother. Please accept my deepest sympathies. I thought a tree would be the most appropriate tribute - it's long-lasting - just like her impact in the world. Love and hugs to all - and to your families, too. I am sad but OK, my sister died yesterday............. I am grateful for those of you who made it possible for me to visit 2 weeks ago when she was still coherent. Thank you. My arms embrace you special nieces and nephews as you face the grief of the loss of your dear mother. I will be with you in spirit on Thursday when you say your final goodbyes and deliver her to her final resting place. That is not an easy thing to do. I am just a phone call away if you need me. I will try my best to comfort you. My sister was my little nine year old mother, heroine, role model, first teacher and dearest friend. The last three years with her have held innumerable moments of belly laughs, joy and reminiscing that I will treasure always. I will miss our lengthy phone chats but I will love her forever. I Always did and I Always will! I am grateful that she is resting in peace. May you be comforted by the memories of a mother who loved each of you to the depth of her soul and to the best of her abilities. She was so very proud of every one of you! I love you! Auntie LU LU
