Obituary of Bernard P Reilly

Bernard Patrick Reilly, age 73, passed away at his home in Tuckerton, New Jersey on Sunday evening, April 14, 2019. He was born January 17, 1946 in Paterson, New Jersey to his parents, Catherine and Joseph Reilly. Lovingly referred to as “Bunny” by his siblings and close friends, Bernard enjoyed the outdoors, from fishing expeditions to the golf course to simply relaxing in the peaceful nature of the canals adjacent to his home in Tuckerton. A graduate of then-Trenton State College and a veteran of the United States National Guard, Bernard served as an accountant with I. Lehrhoff and Company until his retirement in 2009.

Bernard is survived by his life partner, Kathy Sabol of Tuckerton, NJ; three siblings, Patricia Gilbert of Ruskin, Florida, Michael Reilly of Washington, D.C., and Lawrence Hoppe of Bedford, New Hampshire; four children, Michael Reilly and his spouse Leslie of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kristen Reilly and her life partner Frank Meehan of Peterborough, New Hampshire, Scott Reilly and his spouse Sarah of Peshtigo, Wisconsin, and Daniel Reilly and his spouse Marissa Morabito of Washington, D.C.; four beautiful grandchildren, Augustine Meehan, Liam, Caden, and Holden Reilly; his beloved pets Morgan and Winston; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family, friends and others are welcomed to join Bernard’s family at Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Road, Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, on Saturday, April 27 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, to remember and reminisce his time with us. In lieu of flowers, Bernard's family requests donations made to the SPCA of Ocean County.
