Obituary of Louis Ledig

Louis Ledig, 84 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home on Monday April 15, 2019.  Born in Newark, NJ he lived in Edison, NJ and Lake Hopatcong, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor 31 years ago.  Louis worked as a sales rep and regional manager for Gibson Greetings for 30 years and enjoyed volunteering at the Rutgers Marine Research Station in Little Egg Harbor.  He was an avid fisherman as well as a skilled woodworker. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Barbara Ledig, sons Alan Ledig of New Port Richie, Fl and Ronald Hughes (Carrie) of PA, daughter Laura Culleny (Thomas) of Little Egg Harbor, sister Janice Swicinski of Hopatcong, NJ and grandchildren Caitlin, Amy, Daniel (Skyla), Erin, Gretchen and Brooke and great granddaughter Bella Rose.

Viewing hours will be held on Wednesday April 17, 2019 from 6 to 9pm and Thursday April 18, 2019 from 10am to 11am with a Funeral Service beginning at 11am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.  Interment will follow at Whiting Memorial Park Cemetery 600 Route 530 Whiting, NJ 08759.

In lieu of flowers Please make donations to a charity that Louis supported for many years and was important to him, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
